Wreaths Across America: A Successful Barrington Tradition
Over 250 volunteers gathered for the local Wreaths Across America (WAA) event this past weekend, coordinated by The Signal Hill NSDAR Chapter.
uParticipants gathered to honor Veterans with the placement of 835 wreaths and a moving memorial service. The ceremony featured local dignitaries, a color guard, and Justin Summerfield’s rendition of Taps. Among the wreaths, 23 were specially ordered by families to honor loved ones.
“This was Signal Hill's sixth year hosting Wreaths Across America, and we are committed to continuing this cherished tradition,” said a statement in a press release. “We would like to extend a warm thank-you to Evergreen Cemetery, community volunteers, generous donors, and everyone who joined us on December 14th for this meaningful event.”
