Barrington Area Chamber Celebrates Annual Business Awards

The Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) announced its 2025 Annual Business Awards at the Annual Dinner Celebration on Thursday, January 30, at Avante Banquets & Conference Center. The event attracted nearly 200 business and community leaders to celebrate business in the Barrington area.

“Our Chamber Business Award recipients are individuals who passionately pursue their dreams, setting the bar high for excellence and service,” said 2025 BACC Board Chair Dr. Reinhold Llerena, Ascension. Dr. Llerena then announced the following awards:

Community Partner of the Year - Barrington Rotary

“First, our Community Partner of the Year Award,” Llerena said. “This award recognizes a business or entity that is improving the quality of life in the Barrington area. The Community Partner of the Year Award goes to the Barrington Rotary.”

With a passionate mission of “Service Beyond Self,” Barrington Rotary is a vibrant group of nearly 60 volunteers who make an immeasurable impact in the Barrington area, Dr. Llerena elaborated. Known as the “go-to” resource for volunteer assistance when any local nonprofit requires more manpower, Barrington Rotarians dive into service locally and internationally, always judging their efforts by the Rotary International Four-Way Test: ‘Is it the truth? Is it fair to all? Does it build goodwill and better friendships? Is it beneficial to all?’ In just the past six months, they have clocked in over 500 hours of volunteer service on 23 projects and given over $11,000 in donations. Projects include everything from managing parking for Art in the Barn, delivering Meals on Wheels, and cleanup along Rt. 14, to working Barrington Giving Day, collecting books and pajamas for local families in need, funding international projects, and fighting polio.

Business Excellence Award - Patrick A. Finn Custom Homes and Remodeling

“Next, the Business Excellence Award, which recognizes a business committed to outstanding service and quality. The Business Excellence Award goes to Patrick A. Finn Custom Homes & Remodeling,” Dr. Llerena said.

Patrick Finn was born in England and raised in Ireland, growing up on a farm riding horses. He began working as a carpenter in England at the age of 18 and soon achieved Master Craftsman status. He is recognized for his integrity, attention to detail, devotion to old-world craftsmanship, and genuine personality. He came to the United States in 1987 and began his business in 1991, growing from a few remodeling projects to an impressive list of hundreds of award-winning remodeled and custom homes. He has received numerous awards, including the prestigious Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago Key Awards, which recognize excellence in housing design, architecture, interior merchandising, remodeling, and landscaping. Patrick is a multiple-time recipient of the Gold and Platinum Key Awards, which are among the premier recognitions in the housing industry.

“Finally, our Innovator of the Year Award. This award singles out a local entity that contributes programming or services that challenge, enhance, and change our communities for the better. The Innovator of the Year Award goes to Parker Players,” Dr. Llerena announced.
