Early voting for the Nov. 5, 2024 election is underway: What to know

Cook County – Beginning today, Oct. 9, limited early voting for the Nov. 5, 2024, presidential election will be available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at all five suburban Cook County Circuit Courthouse locations. Lake County – Early voting began at the Lake County Clerk’s office on Sept. 26, 2024. Early voting opens countywide at designated locations on Oct. 21, 2024, and ends Nov. 4, 2024, the Monday before Election Day. McHenry County – Early voting began on Sept. 26, 2024, at the McHenry County Election Center in Woodstock. Beginning Oct. 21, 2024, all voting centers will be open. Learn more here.
Kane County – Early voting began on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024, at the Kane County Clerk’s Office in Geneva and the Aurora Satellite Office (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). Early voting begins countywide on Oct. 21, 2024. Learn more here.
Barrington District 220 referendum – Community members in Barrington School District 220 will also be voting on a referendum to increase safety and security throughout district schools, build a new community auditorium at Barrington High School, and enhance STEAM and instructional spaces for students.
