Jack O’Lantern World in Lake Zurich Opens September 27

Jack O’Lantern World invites the community to come see its “best experience yet,” with opening weekend September 27-29, 2024. The Pumpkin Weigh-Off U.S. National Championship will take place Saturday and Sunday on opening weekend.

This year, the group is carving 4,000 real pumpkins.

According to organizers, 2024 highlights include:

  • 1000s of REAL hand-carved pumpkins added to the show

  • The REAL 1000 lb giants are back!

  • More interactive // more photo ops

  • FUN ZONE: Giant inflatables and glowing mini golf

  • Bigger beer garden

  • Exciting pirate ship light show

  • World's largest (and friendliest!) ghost

  • 5K Run/Walk - ONE NIGHT ONLY! - October 17th
