April 20–26 marks National Volunteer Week—celebrated annually since 1974 to honor the power of volunteers in building stronger, more connected communities. This year also celebrates the 50th anniversary of this occasion, held each April during Global Volunteer Month.
If you’re not yet familiar with Barrington Area Volunteer Connection (BAVC), its Get Connected online platform matches volunteers with nonprofit needs. Think of it as community matchmaking at its best!
BAVC connects residents with over 100 local nonprofits through an easy-to-use, searchable system.
