Prairie Middle School Golf Team Earns State Champion Title; 7th Grader is State Champion

Barrington's Prairie Middle School golf team earned the state championship title at the IESA state golf tournament, held on Sept. 13, 2024.

Addison Yoon, a seventh-grader at Prairie, also earned the state golf champion title. The athletes were recognized at the District 220 School Board meeting on Tuesday evening.

Congratulations to:

  • Addison Yoon (State Champion)

  • Niyam Upadhyay (Team Champion)

  • Tate Blomquist (Team Champion)

  • Owen Trimble (Team Champion)

  • Riley Shoemacher (Team Champion)

Two golfers from Barrington’s Station Middle School also placed in the top 20. Fiona Munoz, a seventh-grader at Station, placed fifth, and Ava Seo, a sixth-grader, placed 12th.
